Triangle Horizon is proud to present one of its latest subcontracting projects. The “Soleil des Boischaut” solar farm project was developed by the Sorégies Group for the town of Buzançais in the Indre department. Triangle Horizon was selected to manufacture and construct the solar farm.
The site is a former sand quarry that was later used as a model airplane field. It is land that was unsuitable for agriculture, making it an ideal location for the construction of a ground-mounted solar facility. In addition, the municipality was committed to embarking on the energy transition. “Developing renewable energy is part of our agenda. This is sandy soil where nothing can be grown,” the mayor told *La Nouvelle République*.
Solar Power in a Few Figures
The site covers an area of nearly 15 hectares, on which we have installed 25,704 photovoltaic panels. Counting only the surface area of the solar panels, we arrive at a total of just over 72,000 m². This solar farm, installed by Triangle Horizon, has a capacity of 15.5 mWp.
A Sustainable Solar Farm
The solar farm is expected to generate enough electricity to meet the needs of approximately 7,000 people, all from a renewable source. As a result, the “Soleil des Boischaut” project has the potential to supply all households in the town of Buzançais with clean electricity.
