This collaboration led to the creation of France’s first wind-solar hybrid project, which was recently inaugurated in Savigné (86). TRIANGLE HORIZON was selected by SERGIES to build this ground-mounted solar farm.
A Strong Partnership:
TRIANGLE HORIZON and SERGIES have joined forces to bring to fruition an ambitious project aimed at connecting the new photovoltaic power plant in Savigné to the nearby wind farm in Saint Macoux. This initiative, the result of a partnership between the town of Savigné, the Civraisien en Poitou intermunicipal community, SIMER, and SERGIES, has made possible the completion of a groundbreaking project in the field of renewable energy. TRIANGLE HORIZON is delighted to have been part of this fruitful collaboration, which demonstrates its ability to carry out innovative and complex projects.
“Indeed, the development of renewable energy is intrinsically linked to the capacity of the electric grid. Given the seasonal complementarity of wind and solar power generation, these two facilities communicate in real time to feed in as much power as possible without the need to redesign the infrastructure. This innovative connection scheme earned the project the top prize in a call for proposals issued by the Energy Regulatory Commission. An innovation that translates into savings for everyone!”
